Partners Meeting & Seminar in Murcia

Fundación Diagrama and the sunny city of Murcia hosted the last 8th, 9th and 10th of February 2012 an event of the project “Greener Futures for Young People”, Progress programme from European Commission, which led to the visit of the different partners, Action with Communities in Rural Kent and Diagram Foundation from UK, Basta from Sweden and ASPP from France.

The event began on the 8th with the visit of members to the various projects of Fundación Diagrama, as were the Education Center La Zarza, the .....

The second day hosted the meeting in which members discussed the progress of actions undertaken, evaluating and monitoring the work done and the tasks of dissemination of the project.

The last day was held at the Cultural Hall of Cajamurcia (signature room in the world of knowledge in the heart of the city) a seminar with the same name of the project, with an attendance of about 200 people.

In the conference took part the Council of Education, Training and Employment in the Region of Murcia, Mr. Constantino Sotoca, who officiated the opening ceremony.

The seminar, divided into two speeches and three round tables, had the following programme:

  • “Effects of the economic crisis on the social and labour inclusion of young people”. Speaker: Mr. Pedro Juan Martín Castejón, Professor of Social Responsibility Enterprise Department, University of Murcia.
  • “Youth social entrepreneurship in time of crisis”. Speaker: Mrs. Ruth Guerola Olivares, Legal Counsellor of UCOMUR (Cooperative Enterprises Association from the Region of Murcia).


ROUND TABLE: SOCIAL AGENTS OF LABOUR AND SOCIAL INCLUSION

  • “Socially responsible attitude from enterprises: labour inclusion of population at risk”. Speaker: Mr. Antonio Moreno Rodríguez, Director of Joint of Social Responsible Enterprises from Andalucia, Fundación Diagrama.
  • “Workers´ Representative Point of View”. Speakers: Mrs. Eugenia Pérez Parra, Responsible of the Social Protection Policy and Dependency Department from UGT (Union); and Mrs. Charo González Martínez, Responsible of the Social Policy, Women Affairs and Migrant Population Department from CC.OO (Union).
  • “Enterprises and labour and social inclusion of young people”. Speaker: Mrs. Rosalía Sánchez–Solís de Querol, Director of Labour Relations of CROEM (Enterprises organisation for the Region of Murcia).


ROUND TABLE: PRODUCTIVE WORK AS AN OPPORTUNITY OF LABOUR INCLUSION FOR YOUNG OFFENDERS

  • “Legal aspects of productive work”. Speaker: Mr. Faustino Cavas Martínez, Professor of Labour and Social Security Law, Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Murcia.
  • “A new concept of contract for young people inclusion”. Speaker: Mrs. Ángeles Fernández González, Responsible of Active Employment Policy. INEM (National Unemployment Service).
  • “Enparalelojoven”. Speaker: Mrs. Constantino Yelo Moreno, Responsible of Enparalelojoven (Entity of social inclusion for young offenders).

  • “LABORA Programme”. Speaker: Mrs. Manuela Thena Garrote, Director of LABORA Programme (Seville), Fundación Diagrama.
  • “Transition of young people into the labour market”. Speaker: Mrs. María Amparo Margarit Ferri, Social Worker of Colonia San Vicente Ferrer, Capuchin Tertiary Fathers.
  • “Support from Heliotropos for the labour”. Speaker: Mrs. Mª Antonia Pérez González, Labour Programme from Heliotropos, Fundación Diagrama.
